I have always felt in my life that taking the first step towards anything that I have wanted to do myself ( and I am not referring to the ones which are done due to peer pressure or due to the pressure from family like going to school, college n so on) has been really difficult to start but once the engine is heated up, I just drive past the others as if I am on a freeway which carries a notice board "No speed limit & No Cops". I have a similar feeling today.
I am penning this down because this has happened to me just about many many times in life.. starting from picking the wife of my choice, delimma about moving to a new city, new country, new job, new friends circle but there has always been a deep inclination inside myself to just take the plunge and test the waters.
May be that is the reason that I have taken a long time to get this blog setup but given that it is up I am hoping that I will put together the various restaurants and cuisines that I have tried till now.. My focus would be mostly about the ones in Mumbai and I am hoping that I could provide my thoughts on how good the food is...
How did I decide on this name ?
Couple of reasons
1. The blog is all about the various food choices. So after lot of thinking, I felt that it should something unique (create a brand) and the best way would be to have something in tamil.. So it lead to saptacha
2. Also Saptacha means "have you had your food". This is most common gesture when you visit a home in Tamilnadu or any tamilian place across the globe, very similar to "what would you like to have?" So saptacha could be for breakfast, lunch, snacks or dinner.
So with this background, at the stroke of turning 30 in life, I am going to start writing this blog as often I could with atleast one note every week on my experiences with the restaurants, food and ambience of the places that I have visited. I will make it as interesting as possible so that it interests people of varied taste buds.
Welcome to sapatcha!! will ensure that you leave this site with lot of info...
Cheers!
